News July-Sept 10

Aug 30th

Today I took Ola and Jessica to Leicester City Canine Soc Open show held at close by Ryton On Dunsmoore.

Ola was entered in her last puppy class and Junior she won both, Jessica won Open. Ola was declared Best Of Breed and best puppy but did nothing in the groups she showed like a dream can't ask anymore than that! Breed judge was Sylvan Vuckovic (Swanavly) from Serbia!

Aug 23rd

Well back home from our travels :-( have spent the last week at Builth Wells Wales not the happeist of weeks as Carlie our grandaughter had a nasty bicycle accident, ended up in hospital for four days with a split in her kidney, she is home now on on the mend but has to stay in bed for the next three weeks resting!

Yesterday was gundog day at Welsh Kennel Club with the smallest of entries for judge Wendy Minshull 46 dogs! Luke was 2nd in Junior Ola 3rd in Puppy and Jessica 2nd in Open!
Aug 18th

On Sat Pete went home for the night before returnng to New Forest, in the post awaiting him was confirmation of Ola's JW from the KC, am so pleased to have gained this with her my 1st homebred JW winner!!

Have now arrived at Builth Wells Wales after a good week at Brockenhurst New Forest! The dogs have had a wonderful time with all the differnet smellls in the forest and long walks!

On the Sunday was gundog day at Bournemouth Champ show judge Glyn Griffith Luke won Junior must check his points when I get home sure he has enough now to claim his JW!

Ola won puppy bitch and was declared best puppy bitch! Jessica was lame when I first moved her in the ring so withdrew her .She had hurt her paw in the forest the previous day.

Ola was 2nd in a very large puppy stakes class the judge was Zena Thorn Andrews, Luke 2nd in Junior stakes and VHC in SB stakes.

Congratulations to Jessica & Lukes brother James & Ann Corbett he won Best In Show at Bournemouth!

Aug 8th

Have been to two shows this week Tuesday we went to Paignton show Luke 1st in junior Jessica 1st in PG Ola 1st in PB and was best puppy. Breed judge Bill Bunce Ola went in the puppy stakes and made 1st 2 cuts but was unplaced!

Yesterday we went ot Malvern for National gundog, Luke was 2nd in Junior Ola 2nd in PB, Jessica 3rd in Limit handled superbly by Richard Bott as I was in the puppy stakes with Ola. Our judge was Linda Lillie (Freeway)

Ola was placed 5th in an enor mous puppy stakes class judged by Frank Kane!

Tomorrow am off to New Forest with the caravan for a week where Bournemouth show is held then off to Wales (Builth Wells) for WKC!!

Aug 1st

Today took just Ola to Leicester gundog what a dissappointing entry for the ESS just Ola present so she was BOB & BP by default! However she showed her little socks off was short listed for BIS and took 3rd BPIS!!

July 31st

Today I took Ola and Jessica to Mid western gundog held at Malvern!

Ola won puppy 4 entries present for this class so she only needs one point now from an open show to gain her JW!! Jessica won Open and was BOB Ola BP, no reserve BOB at this show. They both showed well in BIS & BPIS but went no further. Judge today was Jacky Mitchell (Peasblossom)

Home by 4 then took them all out for a run!!

Thursday I went to East Midalnds CS held at March in Cambridgeshire it was an evening show starting at 5pm Ola won junior unfortunately only 2puppies there so no JW points for her there! Luke 2nd in PG ,Jessica 1st in Open Jessica was BOB Ola best puppy and reserve best of breed! Jessica made last 5 in the group! Didn't get home till 11pm ! What a long way with so many rounabouts!!

July 20th
Here are the crituqes for Ola & Jessica for SESSS club show judge Christine McDonald:

Carlyquinn Classic Line, a stunner of excellent type and construction. Lovely outline wth attractive head and expression. Good length of neck and well laid shoulders. Good forechest and straight front. Well matched fore and hindquarters. In super condition and showed like a dream. BPIS.

 Trimere Thrills and Frills JW loved her throughout. Super typy bitch in excellent condition. Mature with good outline, balanced angulation and substance. Good neck, shoulders and topline. Good strength over loin and roundness to bum with well set tail. Firm hocks, which she used on the move to drive around the ring, swinging her forelegs to produce a free, easy gait. RBB

JULY 18th

Yesterday The Southern ESSS held their open show in Surrey. Acredit to all committee members on a lovely well run show with a great atmosphere and of course yummy food!

I took all three dogs Luke was 2nd in Junior, Ola 1st in PB & Novice ,Jessica 1st in Limit! Jessica was Reserve best bitch and Ola Best Puppy In Show a great result for the girls!! The judge was Christine McDonald (Northey) Hopefully some photo's of the day to follow!!
