CARLYQUINN ENGLISH SPRINGERS

Dec 30 Had a busy couple of days yesterday took Luke & Jessica to Luton Canine Soc Premier Open Show held at Woodgreen Animal Shelter Huntingdon. One of the biggest open shows around!! The atmosphere was really nice at this show!

Breed judge today was Carl Miller (Feorlig) Luke won the puppy class & was BPIB Jessica 4th in Open.

Luke won the puppy group under judge Jeff Horswell which I was thrilled about as it was a very strong group also won £20 for winning the group!!

Had to go back today to challenge for BPIS another very strong group, Luke won RBPIS and £50. the judge again was Jeff Horswell.

2009 has been a good year and a brilliant start to Luke's show career, I am looking forward to see what happens in 2010!!

Ola will make her debut in March all being well!!

DEC 22nd Today got health results back for Luke & Ola they are both PRA CORD 1 CLEAR!! hooray!!

Dec 20th Well the past few days have been freezing but hardly any snow to speak of here.

Yeserday took Luke to Lincoln CS held at Newark showground. Entered Luke in AVNSC gundog puppy he won this and got PG2!

Today we went to North Western Spaniel held at a lovely venue in Nantwitch Cheshire. There was a last minute change of judge as our judge had been snowed in in Scotland! The judge who kindly stepped in with about 2 hours notice was Lucy Addoo! Luke was BPIB and also went RBPIS so a very good weekend alround. A photo to follow shortly I hope!

Dec 14 Haven't entered any shows lately went to LKA as a spectator on Sat was lovely to see friends before christmas.

Here is Lukes crituqe for ESS of Wales show:

1st Trimere Transition to Carlyquinn
Gorgeous young puppy, was quite a handful to show, which is understandable as he was only 61/2 months old, beautiful outline & topline, super head & espression, good reach of neck, shoulders & body for age, good front & neat feet, well turned stifules, in gleaming coat & excellent condition, when he settled he moved better on a loose lead, very promisng but needs time to settle. Erina Green

Nov 23 This weekend The English Springer Spaniel Club held their open show judge today Kirsty Miller (Feorlig). Luke won MPD and went on to win BPIS (Best Puppy In Show).

Nov 17 This weekend as I had no shows entered thought it would be good practise to take Luke to a companion show as there are no ringacrft sessions nearby for us to go to. Companion shows are licensed by kennel club and are open to everybody, where you enter on the day. They are usually run by a local dog welfare society or similar and are ideal places to socialise a puppy.

Luke was entered in Puppy a very large class where he was placed 1st and he went on to get Best Puppy in Show! (BPIS). He was a really good boy and enjoyed the day! The judge was a Champ show judge.

Nov 8th Had a busy weekend yesterday went to Welsh ESS champ show held at Tredegar. Erin a & Phil Green, Erina judged the dogs Luke won MPD despite hardly keeping 4 feet on the ground. Jessica was 3rd in GB.

Today went to Mid Herts Gundog a very tiny ring, once again Luke mucked about & the judge said she was unable to assess his movement althogh she thought him beautiful and place him 2 out of 2. Jessica was 4 out of 4 don't think it helps when she steals a loaf of bread during the night, the waistline expanded once again!

Had entered AV SB stakes so thought good idea to stay and take Luke in this ,to my delight he came 2nd in a very large class. We won £5 wa hey! It was a large ring which gave more time to settle him although he did still bounce a bit. He is enjoying it which is the mian thing at this age. Had two lovley days catching up with friends!

Nov 4th The last puppy boy went to his new home today, He has gone to live in Somerset

.Nov 1st Today set off to the Midland English Springer Show held at Wakefield Yorkshie. Travelled up in horrendous rain. Judge today was Wendy Willey (Speeton) Luke was 3rd in MPD Jessica 3rd in SY.
Spent a lot of the day selling the ESS calendars which are A3 size this year and are really superb!

Oct 31 Two more boys have gone to their new homes one to West Sussex & one to sunny Guernsy lucky boy!  It is gettting a lot quieter now but not that quiet as Lola is quite a vocal little girl! Maybe now I will get around to making a new page for a new member to the show team Trimere Transition (luke)

Jessica did well winning the GB class!

JULY 26TH Yesterday an early start for Leeds Champ Show held in the grounds of Harewood estate. We had planned to caravan there but there was a lot of rain in the week previous to the show and more was forecast, yet again the weather man got it wrong the weather was good and conditions dry .
