June 27th

Well I am still here in Blackpool off to Windsor on Tues! The weather has been perfect all week! The dogs have been to the beach every day! and are loving it! Who says show dogs don't have a good life this lot do!!

Yesterday I entered only Ola under Bob Jackson (Mompesson) Ola was 1st in Puppy Bitch which I was really pleased with to win under such a high profile knowledgeable ESS specialist!

Ola was also 4th (RES) in a puppy stakes class of 50+ exhibits .

it was an extremely hot day it normally rains at Blackpool on gundog day so it made a nice change!!

June 22nd

No show news this weekend ! I am currently staying at the Blackpool show site with the caravan, been here since Sunday.

The weather has been glorious so far and the dogs have been to the beach ,a specially designated one for the dogs which has miles of glorious clean sand! Pete has left me here on my ownsome ahh! Got freinds here too so not really alone!

Good news for Carlyquinn I Shoud CoCo (Buddy) he went to an obdience show last weekend and gained a 2nd 3rd & 4th in well done to him and proud owner Michelle!

June 14th

This weekend we took the caravan up to a very wet North Yorkshire!! This weekend was the Northern ESS Champ show held at one of the best venues of the show calender atHurworth Community Centre Nr Darlington.

The committee put on a very smooth run show with marvellous food!!!! A credit to them all!!

Despite the very wet weather and showing the dogs in the rain, had a very good show with Ola & Jessica! Luke was 2nd in a very good Junior class, Ola won puppy maiden and novice bitch and declared Best Puppy bitch and Reserve Best Puppy in Show so delighted with this! Jessica won a very large and competitve Limit class also so delighted with this result! The judge was Sally Leslie (Risdene).

An excellent entry for this judge 146 dogs making 198 entries the highest this year and beating any entry last year!

June 9th

Today I only took Luke and Ola to Three Counties Champ show, Luke was 1st in Junior, Ola was 1st in Puppy Bitch and was BP and RBB it was only open level for us and a very poor entry! The judge was Janet Richards.

Luke was handled to 2nd place in the Special Junior stakes by Helen Merry, I was handing Ola in the breed and the Junior stakes class clashed.

Ola did very well to be shortlisted in the puppy group my 1st time with her in a group. Very pleased with this!!

June 6

Have had a few days away in the caravan staying on the Southern Counties showground. Have had the most superb weather, but rather on the hot side. Had lovely time with good company!!

Friday 4th showed Luke in Junior where he was 5th this must be his worst place so far!! Jessica was 2nd in PG, Ola now nine months old was 1st in puppy bitch and was best puppy bitch. Judge was Carol Coode.

May 23d

This week we travelled up to Scotland with the caravan for SKC show. The weather has been glorious in fact too hot for dog showing!

Luke won Junior and his 1st RCC Luke's older brother James won the CC. Ola won MPB & PB so was best puppy bitch ,Jessica was 3rd in PG. The judge was Jeff Horswell (Drakesleat) his 1st time giving CC's in our breed!

Was a great few days with great company! Have travelled half way home & stopped in the Lake district for one night to break the journey!

MAY 9th

This weekend has been Birmingham National Show held at Stafford showground.

Had a really good day Luke won Junior and Novice Ola won Minor Puppy Bitch and Jessica won Graduate the judge was Frank Kane.

I think I have got the handling right now with Ola she isn't trying to grab my legs or feet now!!

 Thankfully judging is indoors for the Springers as the weather is soo cold!

April 25th

Have been away caravanning at Malvern with glorious weather! Stayed for four days for a nice break!

Main reason for going to Malvern was to attend WELKS Champ show which was on the Friday! Really busy day Ola came 2nd in MPB Luke 2nd in Junior first time out of Puppy and Jessica came 1st in Limit.   Breed judge Ron James

Ola was entered in the Puppy bitch stakes and came a very creditable 2nd in an enormous class of 67.

Luke was in Special Beginners stakes where he came 1st in another very large class.  Stake classes judge Marita Rodgers

April 17th

Today I went to the Englsh Springer Spaniel Club of Wales Open show judge today was Sharon Pinkerton (Bareve).

Luke won Best Puppy In Show a good end to his puppy career ! Ola was Best Puppy Bitch not forgetting -Jessica who won Best Bitch.

It was a gorgeous day we ate our lunch outside in the sunshine! Thank you to the committee for a lovely show and the most gorg rosettes.

April 11th

Today I took all the team to the English Springer Spaniel Club Champ show held not to far away near Leicester!

Luke was second in Puppy dog ,Ola won Minor puppy bitch and puppy bitch she also went Best Puppy in show a first for a homebred Carlyquinn!! Jessica also won her graduate class. Judge today was breed specialist John Palmer (Roandew).

It was great to catch up with friends I havn't seen for quite a while!!

March 29

This weekend travelled up to Scotland for the ESS Club Champ show, it was a very early start, on his occasion Pete drove!

The food layed on at this show is beautiful and plenty of of it yum!

Luke was 2nd in PD, Ola at her 1st champ show came 2nd in MPB so has qualified for Crufts 2011! Judge was Dianne Scott.

March 21st

Today I went to the South Western ESS Open show! I took Luke & Ola- Luke was 2nd in PD, Ola won MPB & PB and was best puppy bitch she did a bit of jumping up and about but eventually settled and moved very well - I was so pleased with her as she is a real character with a mind of her own click here to see a photo of the day!

March 15th

Yesterday was CRUFTS!! had a really lovely day with great company! great dogs! Great food!!!

Met up with owners of Bella's puppies Millie & Buddy great to see them.

Luke was 4th in his class and was so naughty, Jessica showed very well but alas she was not placed.

Feb 27th

Today it was an early start to get to The Southern ESS Champ Show , a really good entry for the judge Wendy Bently (Wenark).

I always like this show for the hospitality of the committee,as is the norm with all the club shows! good food and a chance to catch up with friends!

I took Luke & Jessica - I was thrilled that Luke won Best puppy dog, then he won Best Puppy in show, he is such a great boy to show!

Jessica also won her class, she showed well, so a really great day all round!!

Feb 21 This week have had loads of snow more than couple of weeks ago. Loads fell last night but the roads were fine so was able to go to Nuneaton D C Soc show held at the Kennel Club building Stoneleigh.

No Springers classes today typical ! with 3 other ESS puppies in my class. Luke was entered in AVNSC gundog puppy which he won the judge was Bruce Carter (Blondene) he also won the puppy group which was lovley to win! Same judge for the puppy group!

Feb 13th Today was Leicestershire Gundog Soc show held at Southwell racecourse.

Breed judge was Elaine Thomas (Claramand) Luke got Best Puppy and RBOB, he also went Reserve Best Puppy In Show (RBPIS) under Jeff Horswell (Drakesleat)!

Feb 6th Today took Luke to Ise of Ely show at Godmanchester he got BP in the breed but stood alone in the class, he kept the flag flying by getting PG4! Breed judge was Maureen Osbourne (Braego) group judge Jayne Bennett (Jesham).

Jan 31st Today went to Lancs & Cheshire ESS breed open show. He won Best puppy in show !scraping in those JW points!!!

I had entered two shows for today at the last minute decided to go to the club show! Judge today was Anita Tattersal (Alanea)

The snow was back yet agian today but roads were fine!!

Jan 30th Today I took Luke to Lichfield Canine Soc show held at Stafford show ground Springer judge was Kate Howarth (Arkview) he won BP and showed once again so well for me to get PG4!! We had a little snow yesterday evening and it was freezing all day, the venue was very warm unlike Newark!!

Jan 25th Yesterday was the 1st Champ show of the year Manchester! held at Stafford Show ground. Judge was Trudy Topliss (Beresford)
Luke won his PD class and went on to win BPIB , Jessica was 2nd in a strong PG class. A very good day! Also good for Lukes older brother & Jessica's litter brother James (Sh Ch Trimere Thriller) he won the dog CC and BOB!

Jan 8th Today was Boston Champ show held at Peterborough. A very early start in freezing weather, however, although there has been a lot of snow all the roads were gritted and clear to and from the show!! No CC's on offer for the Springers and a lot of absentees no doubt because of the weather, had it been snowing or a long distance I would not of gone but for me it was neither!!

I only took Luke he stood alone in his class! He won BP! He was shortlisted in the puppy group but got no further!! Breed judge today was Paul Osboune (Braego)

Jan 1st Very frosty start to the new year-but at least it is dry!

Today I took Luke to Coventry Ladies Kennel Ass held at Sports Connextion Ryton -on -Dunsmoor Coventry. Very local to me so not a long drive today!

Luke was BPIB BOB & PG2 the judge was Jim Ricardson (Darrachonna). A very good start fo the new year!

I also took Ola along to socialise enterd NFC she wasn't phased at all, had her photo taken profesionally she was not coperative, but hopefully there will be a photo worth putting on her page! Thankyou Kirsty for taking on the challenge!!!
